Recipe: Smooth Egg Gravy Kuay Teow 滑蛋河

<Smooth Egg Gravy Kuay Teow 滑蛋河> is a very simple & easy meal to be prepared. It can be done within 5 minutes if you have the complete range of ingredients & condiments required. My hubby loves it so much, and says it's even more delicious than what we have in the restaurant or stall. I'm not saying those are not comparable to mine, the matter is the ingredients ( vegetables, prawns & porks ) I add are definitely rather plentiful than what we have in the restaurant.




Ingredients
50g            Pork/ chicken meat ( sliced )
50g            Prawn ( shelled )
50g            Squids ( cleaned and cut into rings )
50g            Vegetable-Choy Sum
50g            Chinese cabbage ( sliced ) ( optional, I didn't manage to add it owing to no stock )
250g          Kuay Teow 
1 tsp          Garlic ( chopped )
1 tbsp        Cornflour ( mixed with 3 tbsp water )
1                Egg ( lightly beaten )  
2x2            Cooking oil



Seasonings ( For Kuay Teow )
2 tbsp        Light soy sauce

Seasonings ( For Sauce )
500 ml      Water
1 tbsp       Chicken stock
0.5 tsp      Sesame oil
0.5 tsp      Pepper
0.5 tsp      Sugar
0.5 tsp      Salt ( optional or as preference )





Method
  1. Heat up wok with 2 tbsp cooking oil.
  2. Add kuay teow and light soy sauce, stir-fry and well-mixed. ( make sure the wok is hot enough in order to have a aromatic kuay teow texture ).
  3. Dish onto a serving platter. Set aside.




  1. Heat up wok with 2 tbsp cooking oil.
  2. Saute garlic until fragrant and pour in the seasoning sauce and bing to boil.
  3. Add prawns, meats, squids and vegetables and well-mixed.
  4. Cover with lid and cook for 3 minutes until the meats and vegetables are well-cooked.
  5. Add cornflour water to thicken the sauce.
  6. Lastly add beaten egg and stir quickly.
  7. Pour over fried kuay teow. Serve hot.






Dadaa...A savory & mouth drooling meal is ready to serve..
